Spotlight on Plant Shop Logo Design: Baltimore County Maryland

I am so thankful for the ability for businesses to be recommended and referred via Social media, specifically Facebook these days. Around 30% of HM&D business is through referrals, and most of that happens through the Facebook Platform! We were recommended to assist with a plant specific logo, and if you don’t know, plants are kind of a big deal around here.

The Littlest Plant Shop (urge to feed Seymore rising) is a wonderful Plant store run by a single lady (put your hands up) named Shauna who has a passion for exotic plants.

ok, but how gorgeous, and im not talking about the plant.

We discussed sticking to a very small color pallet, including exotic type plants specifically and not using florals. So with that feedback we took to the drawing board to get out a first round of logos, we don’t typically include this many but when you have an idea that we love, it is hard to not be inspired to do so many.

Round one was hyper focused on the plant types and getting a good representation in there that this was a plant shop that specialized in these types of plants. We were a bit partial to the logo #1 at this stage in the game. Shauna , the owner, did in face also like #1 and also wanted to see 4,5, and 6 represented, we also added to our tag line during this round.

After these we discussed adding in gold and introducing the word “The” into the logo as well. we showed her what each of her selections from the previous round looked like with and without the gold accents! It was here we decided we loved the versions #6 and #7 most.

Without further ado, the winner of final logo goes to this beauty. This also winds up being our favorite design so far of 2022, and not just because plants. We love a lot about it, the font choices, the colors, the unique idea of looking down at the top of the plant instead of what you are used to which is the side.

Wrapping up, we appreciate The Littlest Plant Shop for choosing us to design their logo, go check them out because they are local to Northern Baltimore County and she’s got a great thing happening.
