Client Spotlight: Maryland Summerfest Logo Design
The folks who host and organize Maryland Summerfest work so hard to make sure that the event is perfect every year. They have used HM&D from year one in designing their event logo as well as maps. The power couple Ryan and Alyssa like to bring Carroll County and the entire Maryland area a fun day of music, venders, food, and summer weather! The last few years have been difficult with covid, in fact we had to scrap an entire logo because of it!
This year however, we worked on it early and things are going off without a hitch! We worked through a few versions, ultimately trying to incorporate the Maryland Flag (because our flag is the best flag), the sun, and music. We worked through various rounds with music notes, summer elements, using the sun to bring the Maryland Flag to life. It was when we designed the sound bar graphics as the rays of sunlight that caught the attention of the Summerfest team, they loved it.
Once that element had been settled upon we integrated the state of Maryland Silhouette and the extra bold font that really hits us, “POW” right in the kisser! To add to the drama of this bold and loud logo the Maryland Summerfest Team unveiled it at midnight on New Years Eve!
We love working with Summerfest each year, and we can’t wait to see this logo on t-shirts, we think they are really going to look amazing.
