Carroll County MD Package Design
We’ve been busy, to say the least, busting out content for over 30 Business Facebook accounts and simultaneously working on 4-5 websites at a time. But that never means we can’t take on a package design project. Designing packaging is near and dear to my heart, why?- Because that was my very first job after college.
When business friend and client Brittany of Brittany’s Sweet tartz approached with a design project, we were all ears. She had a problem: Her business had grown very fast, making her hand poured wax tarts extremely popular and very quickly. From no time she was going from pouring in her kitchen to owning a full retail space here in Carroll County Maryland. Ii know what you’re thinking!

You’re correct, that’s not a problem, the problem was she garnered such great success so quickly and her logo and labels still looked unprofessional.

After talking to the owner of Brittany’s, we discussed that she’d like to do something fun, cute, and unique, kind of like her product, say no more! After a few rounds we settled on the cute/kawaii style icon logo with the old fashioned tart warmer graphic. Next to come was the challenge of creating packaging that was equally as fun, and that would be able to work no matter what the scent was. Previously she had been using images of fruit , florals or food to represent what the scent was. Here are the old labels.
In order to make the new labels work, I pitched that we could add background patterns of the scnet notes instead of actual food pictures, this way they would always work together and look like a brand, but the illustrations could be swapped out and would essentially become the background color for the label info. We began with the entire Winter LIne, and here is how they came out!
We are really proud of the labels, since these were produced we also completed the Spring Line that will be coming out as well as some fun limited edition labels that are a little different from the rest. If you want to check out this clients products you can find her here:
