Designing for Innovation: Behind the Scenes with GreenTek Tools’ New HFR
At Hampstead Marketing and Design, we’re passionate about helping forward-thinking companies bring their vision to life—and Greentek Tools is a perfect example of a brand that truly lives at the intersection of innovation, sustainability, and functionality.
Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with the Greentek team on their newest breakthrough product: the Hardwood Floor Removal tool (HFR). This powerful piece of equipment was built with contractors in mind, offering maximum performance with minimal effort, and I was thrilled to be brought on board to support its launch through graphic design, labeling, and tradeshow branding.
Crafting Smart, Durable Safety Labels for the HFR
One of the most critical aspects of any power tool—especially one with the strength and speed of the HFR—is safety. Greentek needed warning and instructional labels that were both compliant and user-friendly, but also aligned with the clean, industrial aesthetic of their brand.
We worked together to design a full suite of custom warning labels for the HFR that are:
Highly legible, using strategic iconography and bold layouts to convey key safety messages at a glance.
Material-durable, resistant to dust, oils, and wear from heavy job site use.
On-brand, seamlessly integrating Greentek’s color palette and design language.
Every label was meticulously designed with the end-user in mind. These aren’t just stickers—they’re essential components that support both safety and usability, without compromising the HFR’s rugged, professional look.
Designing Impactful Tradeshow Displays
As Greentek prepared to introduce the HFR to the public at national tradeshows and industry expos, I also had the pleasure of designing custom tool stands and booth displays. These visual elements are crucial for grabbing attention in a crowded convention hall, and we knew they needed to reflect Greentek’s commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability, and innovation.
The displays were designed to:
Showcase the HFR front and center, allowing attendees to interact with and understand the tool’s features up close.
Tell the brand story visually, through bold graphics, sharp typography, and clean layouts.
Travel easily, ensuring the stands could be packed and reassembled without compromising the look or integrity of the booth.
These displays helped elevate the Greentek booth at key events, creating a cohesive and professional visual identity that matched the quality of their tools.
