Client Spotlight: Forever Young

Forever Young is a Carroll County, Maryland based fitness company offering beyond the gym fitness solutions for all ages, abilities, and availability through structured group fitness classes and one-on-one sessions for kids, adults and home-bound seniors.

The owner Karalee is a wonderful business-forward-thinking woman with a passion for fitness and helping people. Karalee came to us with a large project, a logo, SEO, and a website with LOTS of functionality. She had also come to us having previously worked with a designer that was not meeting their needs and was pushing back on their brand.

We hear this a lot, that there are those in our industry that don’t want to work with customers colors, design ideas, and push back. At HM&D we offer good design advice and solutions that often provide compromises in the right direction, but at the end of the day we are happy to give you exactly what you want if it’s important to you and part of your business plan!

In this case the major issue was pink, yes you heard me pink. What designer doesn’t want to work with pink?!?

I said let me at it, I love pink.

For logos we went through several rounds, ultimately ending up with some really fun options that will look great on everything from business cards to Tee shirts.

From logo concepts and Tee shirts we moved on to a website that has the ability to manage clients and their information safely, take payments, and manage a schedule of classes and events with a calendar intergration. After lots of work we were able to build the most beautiful and functional website for Forever Young that checked off every box.

My favorite is the subtle animation on the site and the color scheme, black and pink is really a great combo!

At the end of the day it was our ability to listen and interpret the clients wants/needs and give them what they wanted but also use our skills to make it amazing that made this project so great! It isn’t always about us, in fact it’s almost never about us, it’s the clients that make us who we are and give us the platform to do what we love.
