HM&D Spotlight: Logo's of the Week
While the past few months have been flooded with website design work, we do have three small business logos to feature this week from our work. Logo design is so important, second only to a website and often times for small businesses here in Carroll County, Maryland, or nearby counties that we work with, a logo and a website are often both needed. We do offer to incorporate the cost of the logo into the website many times,
Let’s take a look at the three logos that we produced this week and spotlight the small businesses who commissioned them with us!
First up is a wonderful small business who we also built a functional and gorgeous website for, and that is TFS Construction. TFS is located in Northern Baltimore County (Hereford Zone) and offers construction and excavation services to the greater Maryland area. They were flexible on logo design and gave us the reigns to create something for them. What we came up with we LOVE. We custom built the large letters, not using a font, but rather constructing them with organic paths and points, then crating a metallic gradient to appear sheen and sleek. We were able to utilize the digger equipment and shapes to elongate the logo area to allow us to incorporate the longer text tagline underneath.
Our second logo project this week included one of our favorite things to design, logos that involve nature. If there are trees, flowers, water, or anything natural involved, we find that we enjoy that logo so much more. Gunpowder Forestry came to us for a logo and want something that symbolized their work in the woods as they mark, measure and sell trees and timber. We were so excited to help them with this logo journey, and although one first round leftthem wanting more, we were able to hit the nail on the head in round two and settled on this beautiful circular logo featuring an oak tree and a new tagline that we came up with for them.
Last but not least was a logo we finished up just yesterday and began to also work on a new website. This company, Anthony’s Sealcoating and Striping is a new comer that is just starting up, our favorite! We also worked with Anthony and his wife to build something that felt professional and strong, Think, bold fonts, thick lines, and something that feels industrial and powerful.
When we started sketching this logo it was clear that the “A” would become something that was made with the road image, our first round featured this idea several different ways and then we added the badge shape after the fact to give it more legs to stand on. We are so proud of this one, the finished product looks so professional and bold.
As you can see, although we are constantly churning out websites for our clients, the branding and logo design are still important and something we not only do, but enjoy doing! If your Maryland small business is in need of help with a logo design or branding, know that we are here for you.
