Hampstead Maryland Restaurant Logo Design
I would first and foremost like to thank the wonderful Gerapatritis Family, who own and operate the Michael’s Steak and Lobster House of both Baltimore and Hampstead, Maryland. They are a fun, exciting, and kind collection of two sisters and a brother. Along with an amazing staff they busily run these two incredible locations.
I was beyond excited when they reached out to me for new branding. Restaurant logos and pretty coveted and are just a solid and perfect addition to a portfolio. Restaurant logos do get a lot of face-time with customers and make a huge first impression for people, they are a teeny bit more special than other industries identity, in my opinion of course, because food is life.
We started talking about what the family wanted to say with their logo, how they wanted it to feel, and the first impression it should have on people. We settled on professional, Bold, and hopefully something that could portray a little bit of Grecian flair.
After just two rounds we’ve come to this lovely final logo, a Bold serif font resting in a strong emblem that creates movement encased by a laurel wreath from Greek mythology. We also choose to have a little fun with our font’s and using a mixture of bold serif and thin hand drawn serif.
I think that it really is a great representation of the character that the owners have ans share with their incredible food. They are still technically in their soft opening stage at the Hampstead location, but we are hoping for the full menu reveal soon!
Next steps are building an amazing functional website for both locations. You can find both locations currently on Google and Facebook!
