Hampstead Marketing and Design Hosts Successful Youth Entrepreneur Expo
Hampstead, MD – May 18, 2024 – Hampstead Marketing and Design, led by owner Jennifer Lleras, successfully hosted the first-ever Youth Entrepreneur Expo in Carroll County at the Coppermine Pantherplex. The event, aimed at fostering entrepreneurship among young people, featured vendors all under the age of 18 and was a resounding success.
Coinciding with Hampstead Day, the expo saw a large turnout, bolstered by convenient shuttle service directly outside the venue. The young entrepreneurs impressed attendees with a diverse array of offerings including jewelry, food, art, plants, pet products, crochet items, and more. One of the highlights was a young beekeeper who showcased a live swarm she had rescued just the day before.
"The creativity and dedication of these young entrepreneurs were truly inspiring," said Jennifer Lleras. "Our goal was to kindle the spirit of entrepreneurship in young people, and we are thrilled with the positive response from both the vendors and the community."
A $350 scholarship was awarded to Arianna Sellman, owner of Desert Rose Jewels, to help grow her business. You can find her on Instagram here.
Given the success of this event, Hampstead Marketing and Design is excited to announce a follow-up event. The next expo, titled "Hampstead Farmers Market: Youth Day," will be held on August 17, 2024, in conjunction with the Hampstead Farmers Market. This event will feature a dedicated area for vendors under the age of 18.
Additionally, a Fall version of the Youth Entrepreneur Expo is planned for November 2024.
